KEIO EDGE Workshop held in Malaysia

t the University of Malaya(UM) in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, we have hosted the Innovative Thinking Workshop from Jan.18 to 19th, 2016

20 students and faculty members joined the workshop. All of them have science or engineering background. We selected 5 candidates and interviewed them just after the workshop. One of them will be invited to the KEIO EDGE 2016 course held in Japan from this coming September. The finalist will be determined in a few weeks. In the UM, all the faculty members including science and engineering field are asked to consider to collaborate with industry. This is why they are very much interested in our workshop as an “innovation” and “entrepreneurship”education.

By the way, thanks to the UM, lunch and snack in the morning and afternoon were delivered each day. All the participants and KEIO team really enjoyed the food.

Throughout our stay, Professor Norrima Mokhtar and Professor Mas Sahidayana Mohktar supported our activity. Ms. Maziah Mat Rosly and Ms. Paengfoon Powder Taniphan joined as TAs (Teaching Assistant). Ms.Taniphan came from Bangkok in Thailand. Thank you so much.

As the next place of our Asian Tour, we will visit the Bandung Institute of Technology in Indonesia from Feb. 12th. And the last place is the Chulalongkorn University in Thailand on this coming March.
